FOZAM role

Community construction

Project overview

A mosque built for worship and gathering.

Masjid Al-Hidaya is a documented community and religious building in FOZAM’s Kenya portfolio. The brief was a place of gathering that requires craft, dignity and respect for the community it serves.

Project challenges

Religious buildings are judged by atmosphere, durability and the care with which they are made, not only by programme. Orientation, gathering space and finish have to hold together.

FOZAM’s approach

FOZAM delivered Masjid Al-Hidaya as a community project: construction that serves worship and gathering, with interiors treated as part of the religious brief rather than a later decoration.

Delivery and outcome

Delivery covered construction of the mosque as recorded in the company profile. The project is shown here with photography from the completed building.
